MDI Polyester

ULTRACAST™  200 series  is a  'one shot' or quasi-prepolymer approach to manufacturing elastomers of 50 Shore A to 70 Shore D. The system consists of a specially formulated saturated polyester resin – ULTRACAST™ 200 series , a chain extender - ULTRACURE 600D2, a special catalyst - ULTRACAT 650CC and a diisocyanate, ULTRATHANE 500-203 or 500-213S.

Suitable choice of catalyst concentration renders the system highly reactive which in some instances eliminates the need for post-curing. The high degree of reactivity makes the system ideal for dispensing through a 3 component low-pressure machine in preference to hand-batching techniques. If the latter process is adopted, most exacting control must be kept over catalyst concentration, temperature and casting conditions.
