 ULTRACAST 60E series is a diisocyanate terminated urethane prepolymer in keeping with trends towards the use of low or non-toxic products. Diamines are not required as curatives and highly volatile diisocyanates are avoided in the formulation. ULTRACAST 60E series is based on 4,4 - Diphenylmethane diisocyanate (MDI) and a combination of polyester hydrogen donors.
MDI is recognised as a diisocyanate of low volatility and minimises the hazards associated with this family of chemicals. Polyester polyols have traditionally established themselves as highly versatile backbone polymers for urethane elastomers, possessing high temperature performance and superior physical properties.
